Your expertise and dedication will help improve patient outcomes and enhance their quality of life.How you grow, learn and thrive matters here:Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunitiesStaff Safety (a wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern)Differentials for night/weekend shifts, higher education, certifications and various lead roles (for eligible positions)Malpractice liability insuranceLoan forgiveness through the New Mexico Higher Education DepartmentEPIC electronic charting systemType of Opportunity: Part timeFTE: 0.45Job Exempt: NoWork Shift: Nights (United States of America)Compensation & Differentials:Sign on and relocation bonuses are available for qualified candidates.Shift Differentials: nights $5.00 and weekends $3.00Preceptor DifferentialDifferentials for higher education, certifications and various lead rolesCareer Ladder Program Eligible Therapists may receive differential pay based on advanced certifications (RPFT, CPFT, Perinatal Pediatric, ACCS, RPSGT, etc.)Your growth is our priority—this program is designed to elevate your skills and ensure long-term career fulfillment.Responsibilities:All Certified Respiratory Therapist responsibilities.Assists physicians with Bronchoscopy Procedures under departmental policy including monitoring and assessment of the level of consciousness, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems; as well as delivery of IV conscious sedation agents to include drugs in the classifications of opioids, benzodiazepines and sedative-hypnotics and their reversal agents.Initiates ventilator protocols; implements and coordinates ventilator management.Performs advanced airway care to include tracheotomy changes, extubating, and intubation.Initiates and monitors high-frequency ventilators.In NICU Therapists will also perform: Surfactant delivery, and intubation and attend high-risk deliveries.Optional procedures: transport team, intubation, and backup charge therapist.Initiates and monitors Nitric Oxide delivery.Performs department-specific functions as detailed within the summary of the department-specific duties.Qualifications:Associate degree in respiratory therapyReg Resp Therapist (NBRC)Respiratory Care Practitioner-NMBLSACLS and/or PALSSix months to one year of experience in critical care is preferred.We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
