Job Description - Medical Language Interpreter Labor & Delivery (2500765) Position Title: Medical Language Interpreter Labor & Delivery Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years of medical interpreting experience. Fluency in English and Spanish, as verified through UTMB approved verbal and written proficiency testing. Customer Service Experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). Experience with multi-line phones and liaising between patients, clinical staff, and advocates. Professional phone etiquette and large database/PC experience. Job Responsibilities: To provide language assistance by means of verbal interpretations for all medical communications between UTMB's staff and patients, patients' families, and visitors.
