IT Systems Administrator

IT Systems AdministratorResponsible for ensuring the efficient and productive operation of all IT systems in alignment with the business objectives of the firm. Responsible for maintaining and securing the Lan/Wan/WLan, all servers, networking, telecommunications, and other IT systems. Assists with everyday issues of the IT Department, including the Help Desk, and proactively creates documentation and training materials to facilitate new software and hardware rollouts.Tasks:Primary support personnel for various systems & equipment including:Servers (physical & virtual)Networking LAN/WAN/WLANStorageOperating SystemsBackup and DR systemsCloud Software & SystemsProvides support to the Help Desk, including helping users with everyday issues.Performs software installations and maintenanceMaintains the security of GBQ's computing environment (local and cloud)Troubleshoots and repairs MS & SQL databases.Management of the VOIP phone system.PowerShell and Power Automate ScriptingPrepares documentation on all systemsCovers general IT support issues as needed.Collaborates with the IT group to stay ahead and be effective with delivering IT solutions to the firm.Other duties as assigned.Profitability:Tracks and reports actual client-related time.Involvement with internally focused projects to improve procedures by participation in committees, technical training, HR initiatives, and other firm-related projects.Practice Growth:Identify opportunities to reduce firm costs.Provide services in addition to core services.Client Focus:Provides a high-quality, accurate work product to both internal and external clients.Provides solid support to professional staff and responds to requests in a timely manner.Demonstrates comprehension of relevant accounting knowledge, technology concepts, and other methodologies.Brand Culture/Development:Exemplify Brand Attributes of the Firm.Comply with all policies and procedures of the Firm.Demonstrate ability to work individually or in a team environment and address conflict with peers and superiors.Work Experience and Education:Combination of education and work experience in the systems administrator, network administrator, and/or technical support positions.Must be proficient with Windows desktop operating systems and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and OneNote).Focused experience with:Active Directory and Group Policy ObjectsAI Coding & Automation Experience (Claude, Perplexity, Copilot)Azure AD/EntraAzure Virtual Desktop InfrastructureBackup Solutions (Veeam)Cloud hosting systems (virtual desktops, data portals, etc.)Dell Hardware (laptops, desktops, servers & storage)Enterprise Monitoring Solutions (PRTG)Experience with Automation ToolsExperience with PowerShell ScriptingMicrosoft AzureMicrosoft IntuneMicrosoft Office365 (Office apps, Teams, OneDrive, and related apps)Microsoft Windows Server all versionsNetworking Hardware (Powerconnect, SonicWall, & Extreme WAPS)SharePoint OnlineVoIP telephonyWindows AutopilotFocused on resolutions and productivity.
