Temporary Custodian

Job Description The University of Notre Dame is seeking dedicated and dependable individuals to join our team as a Temporary/On-Call Custodian. In this role, you will work across campus facilities. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize all types of interior building spaces Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, and scrub floors and surfaces Remove trash and recyclables and properly dispose of waste Refill restroom supply dispensers Shovel snow and dispense ice melt product near building entrances and exits Follow safe operating procedures when performing custodial tasks, using chemicals, and operating tools and equipment Report hazards, incidents, and maintenance issues promptly Qualifications: Qualifications Must be able to stand and walk for up to 95% of the shift Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally Must be able to push and pull wheeled loads Must be able to successfully complete and follow all assigned training Must be able to work safely and follow operating procedures Must be able to take direction and work independently or as part of a team Must be dependable, punctual, and have good communication skills, both oral and written Preferred qualifications: Some custodial work experience Basic computer skills Additional Information Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6 am - 2:30 pm with some schedule flexibility for weekend and event coverage Hiring Pay Range: $18.00/hr The University of Notre Dame seeks to attract, develop, and retain the highest quality faculty, staff and administration.
