Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement therapeutic interventions and exercises following each patient's OT plan of care
- Document patient progress accurately and timely to track recovery milestones
- Assist in patient and family education on adaptive techniques and home safety
- Communicate patient status and responses to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Uphold safety, infection control, and compliance protocols in every session
- Empower patients to regain functional independence and confidence in daily living
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active Washington COTA license (or the ability to obtain one)
- Strong teamwork and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- A passion for helping others and a commitment to quality care
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of occupational therapy techniques and interventions
- Proficient in clinical documentation and electronic health records
- Skilled in patient education and family communication
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehab team
- Patient-centered approach with empathy and cultural sensitivity
