Become a valued member of our physician-led multi-specialty team, consisting of over 650 providers dedicated to a collaborative approach in patient care. This vibrant and expanding practice operates within two hospitals, offering both ICU and outpatient services to a diverse range of complex, critically ill patients. Our primary facilities include the advanced Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) in Boise and the community-focused Saint Alphonsus Medical Center (SAMC) in Nampa, along with the SAMG Pulmonary Medicine outpatient clinic. SARMC stands out as the leading provider of innovative and interdisciplinary critical care services in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill inpatients in a high-acuity ICU environment.
• Collaborate effectively with adult hospitalist services and various specialists.
• Manage a high-quality outpatient clinic that addresses all aspects of pulmonary medicine.
• Participate in a rotating schedule that includes ICU days, nights, pulmonary consult services, and clinic duties, totaling 182 shifts annually.
• ICU coverage is shift-based and does not involve traditional on-call duties.

Facility Overview

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise features:

• A 22-bed Medical/Surgical ICU
• A 10-bed Cardiac ICU
• A 10-bed Cardiovascular/Thoracic ICU

We provide a wide array of services, including Trauma, Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Interventional Cardiology, interventional stroke care, Oncology, and General Surgery. Our pulmonary diagnostic services encompass:

• Endobronchial ultrasound
• Bedside diagnostic ultrasound
• Navigational bronchoscopy
• Pulmonary function testing
• Sleep diagnostics

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa offers an 18-bed ICU equipped to perform all standard ICU procedures.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and a Pulmonary Critical Care fellowship.
• Board certification or the ability to obtain certification within three years of employment.
• Eligibility for Idaho and Oregon medical licensure, along with privileges at SARMC-Boise, SAMC-Nampa, and other affiliated hospitals as necessary.
• Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
