Counter Sales / Account Manager – HVAC & Plumbing Supplies
Location: Stamford, CT
Pay: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience, plus overtime
Job Type: Full-time, permanent

We’re hiring a Counter Sales / Account Manager in Stamford for one of the largest HVAC and plumbing wholesalers in New England. You’ll be the person contractors turn to for the right parts, a clear answer, and help keeping their jobs moving. You’ll also build customer relationships and help grow accounts over time.
If you have experience at a supply counter, in wholesale distribution, or in the HVAC or plumbing trades, we’d like to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Help contractors identify and purchase HVAC and plumbing equipment, parts, and supplies
- Answer product questions, prepare quotes, and process orders
- Follow up with customers on quotes, orders, and product availability
- Build relationships with existing accounts and earn repeat business
- Spot opportunities to help customers with additional products and services
- Work with purchasing and warehouse teams to coordinate orders and deliveries
- Solve customer issues with urgency and professionalism
What You Bring
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, counter sales, wholesale distribution, or a related trade
- Familiarity with HVAC or plumbing products and how contractors use them
- The ability to listen, ask the right questions, and recommend practical solutions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfort preparing quotes and entering orders on a computer
- Account management or sales experience is a plus
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity in Stamford, CT, paying $25–$35 per hour based on experience, plus overtime.
