Job Description

The Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating healthcare services for patients undergoing surgical procedures in the cardiovascular operating room. This role ensures that sterile procedures are followed, necessary equipment and medications are available, and patient safety is upheld throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for cardiovascular surgery patients.
• Assist in maintaining sterile techniques and ensuring the availability of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Document patient progress and outcomes of surgical procedures.
• Ensure proper handling of specimens during surgeries.
• Provide lunch relief in various surgical service lines as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of current experience in an acute CVOR setting.
