We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to lead and coordinate the clinical operations of a Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit in a vibrant regional healthcare setting in the Southeastern United States. This role involves overseeing patient care services, managing fiscal and human resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise clinical operations to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support service provision.
• Foster positive professional relationships with interdisciplinary teams.
• Facilitate team meetings, daily rounds, and communication among patients, families, and care providers.
• Coordinate patient care services with other departments and community resources.
• Maintain compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and staff competency in equipment use.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality control initiatives.
• Provide orientation, in-service training, and continuing education for staff.
• Assist in budget development and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with care coordination teams to optimize patient throughput and discharge processes.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or actively pursuing.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience related to the management area and at least 1 year of management or related experience.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of budgets, staffing, performance improvement, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with Nurse Practice Act and age-specific patient care needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and occasionally assist with heavy lifting.
• Willingness to work variable shifts as needed.
