Area Manager II Position Stord is looking for an Area Manager with strong communication and organization skills and the ability to work well under pressure. The candidate must be flexible and able to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as needed. This individual will support the execution of all processes and procedures related to inventory accuracy, perform warehouse bin accuracy work, maintain inventory shrink, and utilize Order Management System and various types of material‑handling equipment. What You’ll Do Lead and develop a team of warehouse associates and operations leads to deliver on daily goals. Work closely with support staff (HR, Safety, Customer Service, Other Ops Leaders) to drive results. Address operational and personnel issues affecting the functional area. Implement process improvements and workload‑efficiency mechanisms. Utilize workload‑planning tools and other resources to complete scheduled workload, ensuring orders are fulfilled to meet standards. Investigate discrepancies and variances. Meet quality standards in multiple functions. Perform additional duties as assigned. What You’ll Need Minimum of two to four years’ experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) / inventory systems in a high‑volume facility. Previous leadership experience. Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience. Basic clerical and data‑entry skills. Strong organizational and time‑management skills, driving tasks to completion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact effectively with all levels of management and support teams. Ability to transport up to 20 lbs. Basic mathematical calculation skills. Attention to detail with accuracy and efficiency. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Capability to build solid, effective working relationships with others. Resilience to work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines. Competence with relevant material‑handling equipment (e.g., forklifts). Clear expression of ideas and information. Experience working in a distribution‑center environment, including exposure to varying heights, temperatures, and noise levels. Occasional non‑standard work hours or overtime as the business requires. Bonus Points Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
