Lead Detailer – Mobile Auto Detailing:

The Detail Docs Mobile Detailing is a premium mobile car care company serving the Champaign, IL area . We specialize in interior and exterior detailing, paint correction, and professional vehicle appearance services.

 
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Detailer who takes pride in high-quality work and is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
As a Lead Detailer, you’ll be hands-on in the field while helping guide the detailing team, maintain our quality standards, and deliver an excellent customer experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and taking ownership of their work.

What You'll Do:

• Lead mobile detailing jobs from start to finish.
• Perform high-quality interior and exterior vehicle detailing.
• Train and support newer detailers on proper techniques and company standards.
• Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet our quality expectations.
• Communicate professionally with customers at job sites.
• Address customer questions or concerns and resolve issues when possible.
• Help coordinate daily appointments and maintain efficient job routes.
• Keep detailing equipment, supplies, and the service vehicle clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Communicate job updates, delays, and other issues to ownership.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and the customer experience.
• Help create a positive, professional, and accountable team environment.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous professional auto detailing experience required .
• Previous leadership, training, or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage your time effectively.
• Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field.
• Friendly and professional communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation/ability to travel to mobile job sites.
• Comfortable working outdoors and being on your feet for extended periods.
• Willingness to learn and help others improve.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $18–$25+ per hour , based on experience and leadership ability.
