Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• 13-week contract
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Contract end day is Sunday, not Saturday
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float requirements include all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units
• Unit may low census in 4-hour increments; travelers may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
• 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry monitoring
• Patient conditions include stable/weaning vents and trachs, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
• Patient ratio of 4:1 with primary patients and insulin drips
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required - firm requirement
• Stepdown, Intermediate, or PCU experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ventilator and trach experience required
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: any color

This facility is a hospital that includes a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with a strong focus on high-acuity patient care. The unit handles a wide range of complex conditions including trauma, neurological injuries, and critical care step-down patients. The fast-paced environment requires nurses who are resilient, independent, and capable of managing change effectively while completing tasks in a timely manner.
