Medical Receptionist

We’re seeking a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to ensure our Carson City front office runs smoothly and provide support to both patients and providers throughout each visit. What You’ll Do As a Medical Receptionist, you’ll focus on creating a welcoming patient experience while managing administrative tasks that keep our Carson City clinic efficient. Front Desk & Patient Interaction (75%) Greet patients and visitors in a professional and hospitable manner. Check patients in and out using the EMR system. Collect and accurately enter registration information and required HIPAA, financial, and privacy documentation. Schedule patient appointments according to provider availability and appointment type. Collect copays and reconcile payments with your supervisor. Maintain a clean and organized lobby throughout the day, including end-of-day closing duties. Administrative Support (25%) Professionally answer and direct calls on a multi-line phone system. Accurately triage calls and route them to the appropriate team member. Take clear and detailed phone messages. Scan, index, and organize documents from fax servers and outside providers. Assist coworkers with clerical tasks as needed. Complete medical record requests and triage orders from appointments. What We’re Looking For Experience: 1–2 years as a medical receptionist or medical assistant preferred. Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Skills: Knowledge of EMR systems and basic office procedures, professional phone etiquette, excellent customer service skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements: Frequent desk work combined with walking throughout the office, bending, and stooping as needed.
