Corporate Paralegal

A growing financial institution is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join its Legal Department. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role will support a wide range of legal, regulatory, and operational initiatives while helping ensure the organization remains compliant with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience within a bank, financial institution, or highly regulated industry and possess a strong background supporting litigation, regulatory matters, legal process management, and corporate legal operations. Legal & Regulatory Support Coordinate and manage responses to legal process requests, including subpoenas, levies, restraining notices, and other legal inquiries. Support the Legal Department in managing litigation matters, regulatory requests, and legal documentation. Monitor regulatory developments and assist with legal research and reporting. Prepare litigation summaries, legal reports, and status updates for internal stakeholders. Coordinate with outside counsel and maintain oversight of ongoing legal matters. Legal Operations Maintain and update legal department policies, procedures, and standard documentation. Coordinate the review, processing, and payment of legal invoices and departmental expenses. Support the maintenance of corporate legal records and document management systems. Assist with updating standard agreements, templates, and legal forms. Support legal documentation related to commercial lending and other business transactions as needed. Corporate Governance & Administration Coordinate meeting materials, agendas, and minutes for legal and governance committees. Assist with administration of the organization's whistleblower program and related reporting processes. Support preparation and monitoring of the Legal Department's operating budget. Maintain organized legal files, records, and compliance documentation. Participate in special projects and other legal initiatives as assigned by the General Counsel. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal Certificate preferred. Minimum 5+ years of corporate paralegal experience, preferably within a financial institution, banking environment, law firm, or other highly regulated industry. Experience responding to legal process requests, including subpoenas, levies, garnishments, and related legal matters. General knowledge of banking regulations and legal requirements applicable to financial institutions. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience using legal research platforms, document management systems, and court docket applications (e.g., PACER, Relativity, or similar platforms). Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive legal matters. #J-18808-Ljbffr
