Overview
MRI Technologist, MRI specialty, Montclair, New Jersey, United States. Travel - Temporary Assignment starting 09/28/2026. Weekly pay range: $2,557-$2,665 per week. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Shift: 5x5 Evenings. This assignment is in a hospital setting with an MRI unit serving adult patients. Primary schedule is Mon–Fri, 3:00 PM–8:00 PM, with on-call duties and additional weekday/Saturday coverage as noted in the assignment details.

- Additional scheduling notes: Tue–Fri 12:00 PM–8:00 PM; Sat 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; one Sunday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM call per month
- Setting: hospital MRI unit with adult patient population; community hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Conduct MRI exams across body regions (abdomen, pelvis, chest, brain, nerves, MSK joints) with proper positioning and protocol selection to optimize image quality.
- Screen patients for contraindications, monitor safety, and manage patient comfort throughout the exam.
- Administer contrast when required and within protocol, monitor for adverse events, and document procedures in the charting system.
- Operate Siemens MRI equipment, adjust imaging parameters, and collaborate with radiologists and support staff.
- Document accurately in Epic, coordinate with IV teams, transport, and other interdisciplinary services as needed.
- Maintain equipment readiness, follow safety protocols, and participate in on-call coverage per schedule.

Requirements
- Certifications: ARMRIT and ARRT (MR); BLS required
- Licensure: active state or compact MRI license in hand at time of submittal
- Experience: minimum 1 year MRI experience; travel experience not required (first-time travelers accepted)
- Skills: strong body imaging capability (abdomen, pelvis, chest), neuro (brain/orbits), MSK (shoulder, hip, knee, foot, hand); vascular/MRA/MRV; MRCP and cardiac MRI experience helpful
- Charting: Epic experience required
- Equipment: Siemens MRI experience preferred
- Environment: able to work in an adult patient population and adapt to a hospital setting
