Tech - IR/Special Procedures

Job Summary:

The Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech provides specialized imaging support during vascular and biopsy procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal image quality. This role requires a high-energy, detail-oriented individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Operate fluoroscopy equipment to assist in vascular interventions and drainage procedures.
  
  
• 
  Prepare and maintain a sterile field, ensuring procedure setup adheres to unit policies.
  
  
• 
  Assist clinicians with patient positioning and equipment adjustment to optimize imaging.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient status during procedures, responding promptly to any changes.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control and radiation safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Document procedures and equipment usage accurately in the EMR system.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid ARRT certification or RN licensure required.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of experience in interventional radiology or vascular procedures.
  
  
• 
  Strong understanding of vascular and biopsy procedures.
  
  
• 
  Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively under high-pressure conditions.
  
  
• 
  Ability to multitask and communicate clearly with clinical teams.
  
  
• 
  Must demonstrate empathy and a high energetic approach.
