Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare and maintain cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and equipment for procedures.
  
  
• 
  Assist surgeons during open-heart and vascular surgeries by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields.
  
  
• 
  Participate in scheduled call rotations, responding promptly to on-call requests.
  
  
• 
  Maintain competencies for cardiovascular surgical procedures through ongoing training and certification.
  
  
• 
  Work independently in a high-pressure CVOR setting, supporting a team of healthcare professionals.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to unit policies, including dress code and safety protocols, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year of CVOR / open-heart surgery scrub experience.
  
  
• 
  Proven ability to support cardiac and vascular surgical procedures.
  
  
• 
  Strong understanding of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and equipment.
  
  
• 
  Capable of taking call, responding within established timeframes.
  
  
• 
  Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a high-acuity environment.
