Coordination with HR Manager, Payroll and Operations Manager where needed to ensure that pay and status changes are conducted timelyMaintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations while meeting contractual requirements and obligationsRespond to employee and customer questions and concerns regarding the understanding and application of Lockwood Hills policies as part of LDRM (a Joint Venture of 2 companies)Respond to employee questions and concerns regarding the understanding and application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)Prepares termination documents in support of involuntary terminations; gathers and prepares all documentation neededManage the leave process and ensure proper coordination/communication on any FMLA and Leave of Absence (LOA) requests. Work with employees to answer any questions they may have regarding their leave requests and necessary documentation. Make recommendations/determinations on ADA requests in conjunction with HR Operations and Operations ManagementProvide current and prospective employees with information about company policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefitsConduct exit interviews with departing employees and ensure proper exit information (pay, benefits, security clearance, as examples) is provided. Develop mitigation strategies to reduce turnoverAssist HR Manager on any projects, as assignedProvide Human Resources guidance and support to supervisors as well as managers supporting a government customerQualifications3-5 years of HR Generalist experienceExperience using a variety of online recruitment toolsKnowledge of EEO, ADA, and OFCCP requirementsExcellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and team-based project experienceDecisive ability to shift priorities and function effectively in a dynamic fast paced work cultureStrong understanding of the recruiting aspects involved in the Government proposal environment as well as with unionsStrong work ethic is a mustAbility to work with minimal supervision is essentialGovernment contracting experience is a plusAbility to successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation, including credit and criminal checksAbility to obtain and maintain a Government Secret clearanceWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to stand; walk; sit; lift; bend; reach; carry; stoop; kneel; use hand and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; speak; or hear.
