Overview Full Time Days Job Title: Supervisor, Patient Collection Management Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma 74136 Current Saint Francis Employees - Please click to login and apply. Responsibilities Supervises the self-pay and collection management operations to ensure processes are completed in an efficient and accurate manner; guides the billing, collection, auditing, and reporting functions to enhance cash flow opportunities for the health system while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. Perform supervisory oversight for account resolution and corrections, overpayment processing, insurance processing to maximize cash flow and minimize accounts receivable timeframes. Maintain excellent customer relations in resolving patient, physician, and third-party payer issues; facilitate communications between vendors, outside legal teams, and health system departments as needed. Support customer standards initiatives by effectively resolving patient, physician, and third-party payer issues; handle escalated complaints regarding patient billing concerns or quality of care. Analyze reports to measure team productivity and assist with implementing process changes to improve productivity metrics. Prepare staff schedules and coordinate coverage to ensure appropriate staffing levels for daily workload; monitor completion of work assignments, ensure policies and procedures are followed, and align team efforts to maintain efficiency. Qualifications Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or healthcare related field, preferred. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None. Work Experience: Minimum 4 years in a healthcare revenue cycle or patient accounting setting. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of healthcare billing systems, regulations, and insurance processes; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other applicable software; some knowledge of medical coding functions and terminology; knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding; effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to analyze data to derive insights; ability to organize and prioritize work effectively. Decision Making Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision. Working Relationships Direct supervision of others; prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers; interacts with internal and external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction; collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff.
