CBIZ Talent Solutions is proud to partner with our confidential client, not-for-profit strategically addressing community needs for affordable food access, safe environments to gather to combat social isolation and build positive community connections, and increased access to social and mental health services that lead to improved health and self-sufficiency, in their search for a Director of Development and Philanthropy , the senior fundraising leader driving philanthropic growth.
Key Responsibilities

• Major and mega donor fundraising 75% of time
• Department leadership and team building 25% of time
• Grants strategy and quality control
• Corporate sponsorships and institutional relationships
• Legacy and planned giving
• Major events
• Donor communications coordination

Education, Experience & Skills

• Demonstrated success closing major and mega gifts, including prospecting and pipeline building.
• Strong reputation and credible relationships with major and mega donors, Kansas City relationships strongly preferred.
• Ability to partner closely with a CEO and engage board members in fundraising.
• Experience building systems for moves management, forecasting, stewardship, and campaign execution.
• Strong writing and communication skills and a commitment to disciplined follow through.
• CRM proficiency, Salesforce preferred.
