Edwards & Barber, CPAs is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Visalia. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping clients maintain accurate financial records. What You'll Do
As a Bookkeeper, you'll work closely with our accounting team and clients to maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting. Responsibilities include:
- Record daily financial transactions for multiple clients
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and reports
- Maintain general ledgers and client account records
- Process payroll and assist with payroll reporting
- Assist with sales tax, payroll tax, and other tax-related documentation
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Desktop to maintain client books
- Work directly with clients to obtain information and answer bookkeeping-related questions
- Support our CPAs by providing accurate, up-to-date financial records for tax preparation and advisory services
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Associate degree in Accounting or related field
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Experience working in a CPA firm or public accounting environment
