Nurse Practitioner (FNP) / Physician Assistant (PA-C), Primary Care

HealthCare Recruiters International (HCRI) is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) for a full-time primary care role within a Federally Qualified Health Center serving a close-knit community in eastern North Carolina. This site offers strong team support, consistent volume, and long-term patient relationships.

Primary Care NP / PA Responsibilities

• Full-time schedule based on clinic hours
• 5x8s or 4x10s depending on site needs
• No call; after-hours handled externally
• Provide full-scope primary care across the lifespan
• Manage annual visits, chronic conditions, and sick visits
• Average ~16 patients per day
• High performers see up to 25 patients/day
• Follow structured visit model with standard and extended visits
• Review labs, imaging, and follow-ups daily
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
• Work with dedicated MA or LVN support
• Refer patients to specialists as clinically appropriate
• Participate in outreach and preventive health initiatives
• Perform procedures based on skill set

Primary Care NP / PA Requirements

• Active FNP or PA-C license (or ability to obtain in NC)
• Primary care or family practice experience preferred
• Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan
• Able to manage consistent daily patient volume
• Interest in Community Health Center

Primary Care NP / PA Compensation

• Base Salary: $105K$110K
• $20 per encounter after 210 encounters per month
• Threshold ~10 patients per day
• Bonus paid monthly
  • ~$30K+ at 16 patients/day
  • ~$50K+ at 20 patients/day
  • ~$75K+ at 25 patients/day
• NHSC Loan Repayment eligible ($75K over 2 years, tax-free)
