A Swim Instructor at British Swim School teaches swim lessons to all ages, starting at 3 months old using our fun, gentle and progressive methods. You will receive extensive training to build your confidence and ability to work with a variety of swimmers and abilities. Having fun and interacting with our swimmers is an important part of the role! A strong focus is placed on providing survival swim techniques living out the British Swim School mission and making a big impact on decreasing drowning.
Your Typical Responsibilities:
- Support the Managers and Owners
- Follow British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons and environment to our standard.
- Maintain certifications throughout employment.
- Teach Babies through Adults foundational, survival and stroke development skills in the water
- Talk to parents
- Keep track of your students and their progress
- Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and stand in the water for up to 5 consecutive hours. (Typically 3-4 hours in water at a time)
