Senior Manager, Product Management - Card Core Team The Card Core team runs the “nuclear” core processing platform and associated capabilities for the card business. We’re working backward from a vision to radically transform how we work and how we serve our hundreds of millions of customers. This platform is the foundation that the Capital One’s consumer life-cycle is built upon including: Product Setup + Account Booking Account cycling and billing Settlement functions Account and Transaction SORs Merchant and Fraud Dispute Handling Account closure And much more We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who will chart the path to Capital One’s future and profoundly impact our business by both decommissioning an old and building a new platform that is accurate, scalable, and flexible to support the businesses we’re in today and the future products we haven’t even imagined yet. They will have a keen eye for understanding the customer problem and collaborating with technology and business domain experts to design a sustainable solution while ensuring stakeholders are engaged and informed every step of the way. In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in four key areas: Human Centered You’ll lead sourcing and synthesis of customer discovery efforts to understand customer needs to drive the long term vision for your product. You’ll turn these customer insights into actionable strategies that will define the priorities for your team and rally your stakeholders to your vision. Business Focused You’ll own and prioritize the long-term (12-18 months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned to ensure that your team will be successful. You’ll define KPIs for your product and will be responsible for measuring and tracking to those measures, with an eye to adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data dictates. Technology Driven You’ll have an end-to-end understanding of your product and how it fits into the larger ecosystem to be able to anticipate impacts from changes in other parts of the business. You’ll work closely with tech leadership and architecture to understand the tradeoffs of technical decisions and how they impact the ultimately customer experience your team will deliver always looking to ensure you’re using the best tool for the job. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or military experience. At least 5 years of experience in digital product management. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering. MBA or Master’s degree. 3+ years of experience in Agile product management. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. Chicago, IL: $175,500 - $200,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management McLean, VA: $193,000 - $220,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management New York, NY: $210,500 - $240,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management Richmond, VA: $175,500 - $200,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
