Paving Estimator

Paving Estimator / Business Development A growing civil contractor is seeking an experienced Paving Estimator / Business Development professional to support the expansion of its paving and concrete division. This individual will play a key role in estimating projects, securing work, and helping establish processes and systems as the division continues to grow. Key Responsibilities: Prepare estimates for asphalt paving and concrete projects Complete quantity takeoffs and develop competitive pricing Obtain and manage vendor and subcontractor pricing Work with leadership to establish production rates and unit costs Develop relationships with clients, developers, and general contractors Help improve estimating workflows, systems, and internal processes Assist with project turnover to operations after award Support implementation of estimating tools, templates, and software Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in paving, concrete, or civil estimating Strong knowledge of asphalt paving means, methods, and pricing Ability to read plans/specifications and perform accurate takeoffs Strong relationship‑building and business development skills Self‑motivated and comfortable in a fast‑growing environment What We're Looking For: Someone capable of managing the full estimating process from bid to award Comfortable helping build structure and processes in a growing division Strong communicator focused on both winning and pricing work Accountable, team‑oriented, and low ego mentality Ability to work independently and take ownership of preconstruction efforts Technical Skills (Preferred): Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.) Bluebeam Bid2Win
