Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Richmond, TX

Make a difference in Houston’s education community by supporting students’ communication skills as a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). We're seeking a skilled SLPA for two campuses in the east Houston metro area. This rewarding contract position offers the ability to work across both a high school and a middle school, with an immediate start and placement through late May 2027.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA license in hand (licensure screenshot required with your application)
- Demonstrated school-based SLPA experience
- Proven ability to reliably commute between both assigned campuses (must confirm comfort with commute)
- Reliable personal transportation
- On-site availability; remote options not available
- Preparedness to procure a laptop (with reimbursement provided)
- Ability to complete/pay for HISD fingerprinting within the first 3 days of contract signing
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language support services to student caseload under the supervision of an SLP, adhering to school protocols
- Engage collaboratively with school teams, educators, and support staff to foster student progress
- Travel between two designated school campuses, adapting to each environment’s needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and sessions
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and parents as necessary
