CMA/LPN (Pediatric Practice) - Goodlettsville Pediatrics Job Category: Clinical Requisition Number: CERTI002332 Full-Time On-site Location Goodlettsville, TN 37072, USA Description Goodlettsville Pediatrics , a member of Summit Medical Group, is seeking highly qualified LPNs or Certified/Registered Medical Assistants to join our pediatric clinical “floor nurse” team. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents. This role requires a high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task while aiding in the healthcare of children. Our busy outpatient Pediatric Practice in Goodlettsville, TN provides excellent healthcare for infants, adolescents, and teens based upon the American Academy of Pediatrics, Bright Futures Periodicity Schedule. Hours 4 days per week with rotating Saturday clinic coverage Responsibilities Support Medical Providers by aiding in office exams, triaging phone calls, administering ordered vaccines, and helping with in-office procedures. Perform point-of-care testing (urine analysis, molecular strep & flu testing, fecal occult blood, pregnancy tests, finger sticks, in-house CBC testing). Ability and experience with Electronic Medical Records to prep intake and document into patient charts daily. Reconcile incoming documents from specialists or hospitals (i.e., Newborn Screenings). Review current vaccine status with State Immunization Registry. Assist providers with exams, in-office procedures, and patient care. Triage phone calls and administer ordered vaccines. Perform point-of-care testing, including: Urinalysis Molecular strep and flu testing Fecal occult blood testing Pregnancy testing Finger sticks and in-house CBC testing Follow quality measures during visits for our Patient Centered Medical Home program. Accurate vitals – including review of Growth Chart for proper growth of child. Perform Vision & Hearing Tests as required by age of exam. Reviewing and updating the Problem List. Complete proper Screening Questionnaires based upon AAP Bright Futures. Ability to build rapport with patients and families. Maintain stocked, neat, and clean examination rooms and common work areas daily. Adhere to established policies and procedures including OSHA guidelines and the Corporate Compliance Program. Perform duties assigned in a professional manner while showing courtesy and cooperation to co-workers, management, and the public.
