Job Title: Material Planner
Location: Waukegan, IL – Onsite
Pay Range: $75K–$85K (Based on experience & qualifications)
Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k). Quarterly company bonus.

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Material Planner with our client located in Waukegan, IL. Our client is a well-established aerospace and electronics organization that provides in-flight entertainment, connectivity, and other advanced systems for the aviation industry. They are looking to add an experienced Material Planner to their team on a permanent basis. This newly created position will support material planning and purchasing for their manufacturing and machine shop operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage material planning and purchasing activities to support production requirements.
• Plan material requirements and ensure materials are available when needed for production.
• Issue and manage purchase orders and maintain supplier relationships.
• Monitor material status, inventory levels, shortages, delays, and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate the movement of materials through purchasing, production, machining, and outside processing.
• Release and track work orders for outside processing, including testing, chemical processing, and painting.
• Read and interpret BOMs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements to material flow and inventory.
• Maintain accurate ERP/MRP information and material records.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of material planning or production control experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• ERP/MRP experience required; Intuitive, Epicor, or Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Experience with machining, sheet metal, fabrication, or other manufacturing processes preferred.
• Understanding of BOMs, routings, and production processes preferred.
• Experience in a regulated industry, such as aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing, preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
