Cyber Security Analyst - Stafford

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree and at least 3 years of related cybersecurity experience, or 2 additional years of experience in place of a degree.
• We require DoD 8140 compliance at an intermediate or advanced level, with one of the following certifications: CASP+CE, Security+, CISSP, or CISM.
• We require expert knowledge of NIST guidance, FISMA, cybersecurity principles and methods, Executive Orders, OMB memorandums, federal, DoD, and CISA technical reference architectures, maturity models, the Risk Management Framework, the Cybersecurity Framework, and technical IT systems knowledge.
• We prefer USMC or Navy Validator certification.
• We prefer OSCP, OSEP, or CPTS certifications.
• We prefer experience with cloud-based environments and technologies.
• We prefer strong analytical thinking and excellent problem-solving ability.
• We prefer effective communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• We require a current and active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI.

• We analyze cybersecurity packages using the Risk Management Framework to support Authority to Operate decisions.
• We ensure system documentation accurately reflects current security configurations, including hardware, software, data flows, interconnections, ports, protocols, and services.
• We conduct compliance reviews and assessments to confirm alignment with federal requirements such as EO, OMB memos, A-130, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, FIPS 199, and FIPS 200.
• We evaluate security implementations across people, processes, and technologies, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• We assist with preparing and reviewing System Security Plans, Plans of Action and Milestones, Authorization Recommendations, Cybersecurity Strategies, and other A&A artifacts.
• We research challenges tied to evolving FISMA requirements and provide practical recommendations for customers.
• We maintain GRC SharePoint sites by uploading documents, updating pages, and handling access requests and permissions on an ongoing basis.
