Elementary Special Education Teacher

Position Title Elementary School Special Education Teacher (2026-2027 SY) Position Summary A successful candidate should be comfortable working as part of a team and have strong oral and written communication skills. Appropriate DESE licensure in Moderate is required and candidates should have previous experience working with elementary school students with a variety of disabilities including Specific Learning Disabilities, Emotional Impairment, Communication Disorders, etc. Restraint training and three years of experience is preferred. Required Experience Strong behavior management skills Collecting and analyzing behavioral and academic data Providing specially designed instruction in both inclusion and pull‑out settings Scheduling integration time for students Providing supervision to paraprofessionals Supporting social skills development Differentiating instruction Knowledge of a variety of academic programs Evaluating students using a variety of assessments (e.g., WIAT, GORT, TOWL, CTOPP, etc.) Writing reports, goals, IEPs, and progress notes #J-18808-Ljbffr
