Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, whether in inpatient or outpatient settings, and develop customized treatment strategies
• Implement physical therapy techniques that emphasize mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional improvement
• Work closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure best possible outcomes
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and rehabilitation exercises
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient progress as per facility and regulatory requirements
• Engage in care team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to foster coordinated and effective patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a similar degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a DPT / Doctor of Physical Therapy
• CPR certification preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., geriatric, neurological) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior experience in physical therapy strongly preferred
• Ability to effectively treat patients facing complex medical and mobility challenges
