Sous Chef Opportunity

An established, chef-driven upscale restaurant in Fayetteville is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join its culinary leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong kitchen leader who enjoys working in a polished, high-quality environment and wants to continue developing under an experienced Executive Chef. The ideal candidate brings a combination of culinary skill, leadership ability, consistency, and strong kitchen fundamentals.

What You'll Do

• Support the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations and service execution
• Lead, coach, and develop cooks while maintaining a positive and accountable kitchen culture
• Ensure consistent execution, presentation, portioning, and quality across every service
• Help manage food cost, waste, prep levels, inventory, and kitchen organization
• Maintain high standards for sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness
• Assist with ordering, receiving, scheduling, and operational needs
• Take ownership of the kitchen and team when the Executive Chef is not present
• Help maintain consistency during high-volume services without sacrificing quality
• Contribute ideas and collaborate with culinary leadership as the restaurant continues to grow

What We're Looking For

• Previous Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Chef de Cuisine, or strong culinary leadership experience
• Experience in an upscale, chef-driven, steakhouse, or high-quality full-service restaurant
• Strong understanding of scratch cooking and proper culinary technique
• Proven ability to lead and develop a BOH team
• Understanding of food cost, labor, inventory, waste, and kitchen controls
• Organized and composed during busy services
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• A hands-on leader who is comfortable working alongside the team
• Stable career history and a genuine desire to grow with one organization

Compensation & Benefits

• $65,000$75,000 base salary
