Newtown Athletic Club Description
- General Maintenance & Repairs : Perform routine maintenance and repairs on club facilities, including fitness equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
- Outdoor Maintenance : Maintain landscaping, parking lots, walkways, and outdoor recreational areas, including snow removal, debris cleanup, and seasonal care.
- Property Inspections : Conduct regular inspections of indoor and outdoor areas to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively.
- Emergency Repairs : Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and resolve issues to ensure minimal disruption to club operations.
- Other Properties : Provide maintenance support for additional real estate properties owned or managed by the organization, ensuring consistency in quality and upkeep.
- Vendor Coordination : Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs, maintenance projects, or large-scale renovations.
- Inventory Management : Maintain and track inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring adequate stock and proper functioning of equipment.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe environment for members, staff, and visitors.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with the Facilities Manager and other team members to prioritize tasks and complete projects efficiently.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of completed work, including repairs, inspections, and maintenance logs.
Qualifications for Maintenance Technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and small hand tools
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- EPA technician certification required
- Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
