Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (Med Tech) will perform advanced clinical laboratory testing in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The role involves ensuring accurate laboratory analysis, supporting point-of-care testing, and maintaining laboratory operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests utilizing equipment such as Siemens Dimension EXL, Sysmex 1000, Roche Clineteck, and others.
• Perform daily maintenance, quality control, and calibration procedures on analyzers and other lab instruments.
• Process specimens, including ordering tests, centrifuging, and preparing samples for transport or send-outs.
• Support lab operations by performing clerical duties and maintaining supplies as directed.
• Adhere strictly to CLIA and CAP safety and quality protocols.
• Collaborate professionally with clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate test results.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid full license as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist through ASCP or equivalent.
• Have at least 2 years of experience working in a hospital laboratory environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Show experience with analyzers and procedures such as QC, calibration, and specimen processing.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
