The Physicians Mutual creative team is on the lookout for a talented Copywriter/Senior Copywriter with a hankering for digital content, performance and collaboration.

As an award-winning, in-house creative team, we work on everything from national broadcast campaigns to proofreading form letters. No job is too big or too small. You'll write long form, short form, email, social, display ads and plenty in between.


You'll also help coordinate the Physicians Mutual Community Hub and work closely with our partners to improve digital content, support meaningful testing and share what we learn into future work.

Equally important - your ability to work well with a whole host of other people across all levels of the company. So yes, you'll have to bring your writing chops, but we're looking for someone unapologetically collaborative.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do in This Role ...

• Demonstrate passion for a consistent Physicians Mutual brand voice through all channels and markets.
• Write full-funnel marketing materials and day-to-day executions that drive engagement.
• Develop creative concepts and copy options that drive entire campaigns.
• Help coordinate the Community Hub editorial process, including writing articles, scheduling assignments, proofreading submissions, consolidating content and checking sources and links.
• Partner with marketing on digital content quality, user experience and testing opportunities.
• Use and share available performance results, customer feedback and testing learnings to strengthen future work.
• Write and edit web content using sound digital practices, including clear page hierarchy, headings, links, buttons and microcopy.
• Learn and apply complex information quickly. (Insurance knowledge is a plus but not a must.)

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table

• Three to five years of marketing or advertising writing experience. Five to seven years for a senior position.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, English, liberal arts or related field is required OR at least five years of professional copywriting experience.
• An understanding of web writing, SEO, user experience, testing principles and social media.
• Experience mentoring writers (Senior Copywriter).
• A portfolio demonstrating the ability to write across various media, channels and audiences.
