In this position, you will:

• Help program participants achieve/exceed their personal goals;
• Provide structure and emotional support;
• Assist in resolving behavioral issues;
• Help people supported with personal hygiene;
• Complete detailed, accurate documentation
• Transport the people supported to and from volunteer and pre-vocational activities using Agency vehicles.

We require:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• One year experience in OPWDD field required. Two (2) years of experience preferred
• Complete (within 90 days of hire) and maintain required training in SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) Restrictive Certification, CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation), First Aird, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
• Obtain (within 180 days of hire) and maintain AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel)
• The Ability to assist with lifting and transferring a person
• Ability to communicate and understand in English; both verbally and in writing
• Clean valid NYS Driver's License
