Bartender Position at WISEACRE Brewing CompanyWISEACRE Brewing Company is a fast-growing regional brewery located in the gritty but grand city of Memphis, TN. We first started brewing in 2013 and now have 2 production facilities along with accompanying taprooms and a pizza kitchen serving up New Haven style pies. These values guide our company culture and operations and we're looking for BEEFY folks with a love of craft beverages to join our team.The bartender is in charge of serving patrons, providing information to help with beverage selections, presenting ordered choices and effectively ensuring that guests are satisfied with their WISEACRE experience. The ideal candidate will be able to provide top-quality customer service while maintaining taproom ambiance and transaction accuracy. In order to help ensure all aspects of this position are performed as expected, measurable metrics will be provided along with regularly scheduled performance reviews. This position reports directly to the Front of House Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide excellent customer service at all timesComplete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning, set-up, and breakdown tasks as assignedBe fully knowledgeable of and adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policiesMonitor guests intoxication levels and refrain from serving alcohol when appropriateCheck identification of all patrons and monitor for underage drinkingHelp guests select beverages by presenting menu and making informed suggestionsUse POS System as instructedKeep customer tabs precise and up to dateProvide accurate information about our beer and food optionsAccurately input food and bev ordersAssist with running food from kitchen to tables whenever scheduled or asked to do soBus tables and maintain a clean indoor/outdoor spaceObtain revenues by totaling all charges in full, issuing bill, accepting payment, and returning payment card and signature slip to guests if not paid with cashEnsure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidentsBe knowledgeable of and comply with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinancesCommunicate and embody WISEACRE brandPerform other duties as requested by managementQualifications:Must be 21 years of age or olderMinimum one year of experience in service industryPositive attitude and ability to work as part of a teamExcellent customer service skillsHas an up to date ABC cardAbility to multi-task while maintaining a calm demeanorProficiency in POS System and/or willingness to learnAbility to work a flexible schedulePhysical Demands:Stands and/or traverses taproom for long periods of timeUse repetitive motionsLifts up to 60 pounds without assistanceCompensation:$7.25/hr during training period (typically 2-3 shifts) and for occasional staff meetings$2.13/hr plus tips for standard shifts once training is complete$20/hr plus tips for private events
