POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Facilities has the responsibility and accountability to ensure that the overall daily operations of the Facilities Department are efficient and effective. They are responsible for making sure that buildings and their services meet the needs of the people who work in them.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Directs the design, planning, construction and maintenance of Borland Groovers facilities and properties.
• Completes Facility Manager and Tier II quarterly and annual reviews.
• Monitors budgets and approves contracts (Service and Leases) to meet current and future needs.
• Oversees the departments overall performance and building operations, including repairs, refurbishments, and the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management systems.
• Evaluates and selects contractors for facility projects and delivery of services.
• Ensures building operations meet service standards and comply with all state laws and accreditation regulations.
• Works closely with Executive team for strategic planning
• Attends all meeting for new construction and provides valuable input
• Oversee the work ticketing software to ensure quality data inputs and outputs.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans, contract agreements (including leases), warranty requirements, and compliance documentation.

• Knowledge of the methods and principals of general building maintenance.
• Knowledge of the principals of contract administration.
• General knowledge of building systems, i.e. life safety, HVAC, plumbing, critical power, in a healthcare environment.
• Basic mathematical principals.
• Must be able to learn quickly and leverage new information effectively.
• Must be able to foster productive meetings.
• Must be able to multi-task and work on many different projects throughout the day.
• Ability to work under pressure and remain respectful to others no matter the situation.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Good problem solver with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree or five plus years in Facilities Management.
• Requires (5) five years in a management level position.
• Related trade, NFPA and OSHA certification preferred.
• Maintain the NFPA-CLSS-HC Certification
