What You’ll Do As a Medical Assistant/Scribe , you will be an essential member of our clinical team. You will support providers during patient visits, assist with clinical care, and ensure medical documentation is accurate, timely, and complete. Patient Care & Clinical Support Escort patients to exam rooms and provide a welcoming, compassionate experience Take and document vital signs, height, weight, and relevant clinical information Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and EKGs as needed Prepare and clean exam rooms between patients Maintain clinical supplies and equipment Medical Scribing & Documentation Accurately document patient visits in the electronic health record (EHR) in real time under provider direction Record patient histories, chief complaints, review of systems, physical exam findings, assessments, and treatment plans Assist providers with documenting orders, referrals, prescriptions, follow-up instructions, and patient education Ensure charts are complete, organized, and ready for provider review and sign-off Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all medical documentation Administrative Support Schedule appointments and follow-up visits Process referrals and prior authorizations Assist with prescription monitoring programs Answer and route patient phone calls appropriately Conduct patient recalls for wellness visits and follow-up care Compliance Follow all Ezra Medical Center policies and procedures Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA Help ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant clinical environment What We’re Looking For Required High School Diploma or equivalent Medical Assistant Certificate, Scribe Certificate, or equivalent healthcare training/experience Strong written communication skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable using electronic health record systems Compassionate, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment Preferred At least 1 year of Medical Assistant, Medical Scribe, or clinical experience Experience with phlebotomy and EKGs Previous experience documenting in an EHR Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply We value our employees and offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k); and paid time off. medical dental vision life disability insurance 401(k) paid time off Work Location You will have the opportunity to work at one of our Brooklyn locations: 1312 38th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11218 5115 15th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11219 #J-18808-Ljbffr
