Description
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized testing and observational insights.
  • Create tailor-made treatment programs that tackle immediate needs while paving the way for long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvements.
  • Administer individual speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, vocal abilities, and swallowing functions.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to design unified care plans.
  • Provide educational support to both patients and their families to ensure progress is maintained beyond clinical hours.
  • Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, promoting a continuous care experience throughout the recovery process.
  • Keep precise and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
  • Commit to staying abreast of advances in speech-language pathology through continuous education and shared learning opportunities.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of starting employment.

  • Exceptional proficiency in evidence-based methods for treating all ages, with a thorough understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Solid clinical judgment and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record-keeping and documentation protocols.
