Position Overview 

An excellent ongoing locum tenens opportunity is available for an Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician seeking flexible 24-hour beeper call coverage in North Carolina .

This assignment provides physicians the opportunity to practice within a well-established Women's Services program while enjoying the flexibility of call-only scheduling. Providers will work alongside experienced nursing staff and hospital personnel managing the full spectrum of obstetrical and gynecologic emergencies, including labor and delivery, cesarean sections, gynecologic surgery, admissions, and inpatient consultations.

The assignment offers manageable call volumes, a collaborative clinical environment, and long-term scheduling opportunities.

Provider Compensation: $3,500 per 24-hour beeper call

Provider Pay Ranking: Top 5–10% of comparable OB/GYN locum opportunities in the Southeast.

Job Responsibilities

The Locum Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician will:

• Provide 24-hour beeper call coverage
• Evaluate and manage laboring patients
• Perform vaginal deliveries
• Perform primary and repeat cesarean sections
• Evaluate emergency department OB/GYN consults
• Perform emergency gynecologic surgery
• Admit OB/GYN patients
• Round on hospitalized obstetrical and gynecologic patients
• Perform postpartum evaluations
• Perform newborn circumcisions
• Manage postpartum hemorrhage and obstetrical emergencies
• Provide telephone consultations
• Collaborate with Labor & Delivery nursing staff, anesthesia, emergency medicine physicians, and hospital leadership
• Complete documentation within the MediTech electronic medical record
