Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Job Description

A respected regional hospital is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join its surgical team. This role is responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical process while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader care team.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care for surgical patients.
Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Monitor patient status, review diagnostics, and communicate changes to physicians and care teams.
Implement physician orders and nursing care plans in accordance with clinical policies and standards.
Coordinate and delegate tasks to other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and post-operative care.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Support a collaborative environment focused on patient safety, quality improvement, and best practices.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in AZ (or compact license).
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Previous surgical or operating room nursing experience preferred.
