Greenleaf Corporation is looking for a Maintenance Worker to perform multifaceted maintenance work in that this position is not specific craft-dependent but rather multi-functional requiring skills in the various maintenance disciplines such as electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and machine repair. Services plant's entire maintenance needs at the Flat Rock, NC facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches and related technical data to determine the maintenance needs of plant and equipment. Must have knowledge and be highly skilled in maintenance areas to include electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatics, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration and machine repair.
• Electrical maintenance skills will include knowledge of motor control circuits to include motor starters, contractors, relays, control voltage circuits and associated hardware and circuitry. Knowledge of electrical wiring circuits which range from 480 volt-3 phase power to 24 volt control wiring. Able to run conduit and plan electrical wiring installation. Required to analyze and troubleshoot with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, read blueprints and have the ability to diagnose problems. Electrical troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Mechanically perform repairs on equipment, machines, tools (both CNC and manually) and/or systems requiring technical competency in the maintenance craft areas of plumbing, carpentry, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC systems and general machine repairs. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings related to these craft areas and initiate proper repairs using appropriate troubleshooting skills. Required to determine the cause of failures and enact efficient repair procedures ensuring the equipment or system is placed back into operational status in a timely manner.
• Able to do basic welding with stick electrode.
• Able to braze with silver and brass.
• Able to operate fork truck with personnel in approved lift cage and also unloading trucks.
• Additional duties include conducting preventative maintenance checks, requisitioning and picking up parts and materials and documentation of same. Responsible for recording of daily work orders and may be required to report on equipment status, costs incurred or additional pending work activity.
• Installation and movement of a variety of equipment and machine tools. Must be able to rig level aligns and install plant equipment.
• Set up and operate lathes, drill press, milling machine or grinder to perform a limited range of repairs or fabrication of replacement parts.
• Facility grounds equipment must be maintained in a functional, as well as appealing condition in order to project the most positive image.
• Periodically inspect conditions of plant operating machines and equipment for preventative maintenance purposes, detect faulty operations, diagnose malfunctions and provide remedy or report to proper supervisor.
• Maintain specified records of work performed, details or repairs and material usage.
• Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations.
• Perform specified equipment maintenance and cleansing.
• Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.

Qualifications: Must have high school diploma or GED. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
