In the role of Senior Distribution Project Engineer, we'll count on you to: Coordinate the work of design engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's developmentEstablish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetingsAssume technical lead within a project execution teamParticipate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceConduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplinesCoordinate workload throughout the project to complete project deliverables on scheduleWork with Project Manager and Project Controller on project reviews with management as neededDirect the activities of other engineering professionals and act as a mentor to other staff members as neededPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.10+ years of distribution design experience.Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired.Experience with industry software including: CYMCAP, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, Polywater Pull Planner, PLS-CADD, Spida Calc, Pole Foreman, etc.Experience performing structural analysis, plan and profile preparation, line optimization, preparing specifications and drawings, and other engineering documents.Strong written and verbal communication skills.#LI-KJ1QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in EngineeringA minimum of 10 years of experienceRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market SectorProficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software (examples include PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit)An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned cultureWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
