Our client is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing...
- Designing electrical systems for mechanical/hydraulic power stamping presses and related automation upgrades.
- Creating and modifying HMI, PLC, and Safety PLC programs using various software on different hardware platforms.
- Supervising installation and providing Full Line Commissioning support.
- Performing risk assessments and managing hardwire, panel, and field device layouts.
- Collaborating with Engineers, Electricians, and Millwrights to oversee installation tasks and resolve construction-related issues.
- BS in Electrical Engineering/technologies or technician degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with AutoCad Electrical and PLC programming (Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Siemens).
- Proficiency in electrical hardware design, modification, and commissioning.
- Ability to multitask effectively within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work in Canada and Mexico, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
