Your future role at a glance Location: Pensacola, Florida Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Department: Recovery Schedule: Evening | PRN How you'll make an impact in this role Provide direct, specialized nursing care to patients emerging from general, regional, or local anesthesia, closely monitoring physiological stability during the critical post-operative/post-procedural phase. Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques in alignment with AORN and ASPAN guidelines and organizational infection control protocols. Continuously evaluate patient responses to treatments, medications, and clinical interventions while actively assessing, managing, and treating acute post-operative pain Anticipate case-specific complications and clinical needs based on deep knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia recovery pathways, and underlying pathophysiology. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: Graduate of a Registered Nursing program required. Work Experience: One year of experience as a Staff Registered Nurse is required. Previous experience in a critical care or PACU setting is preferred.
