Job Description

AI Governance (AIG)Engineeringteam is part of the Data and AI Platform (DAP) technology organizationinVisa. The team's mission is to provide a Trustworthy AI - an engineering solution for Visa to achieve centralized AI excellence across Visa.We aim to develop, assess and deploy AI systems in a responsible and trustworthy way at Visa.This is a fantastic opportunity to join the effort undergoing in building the AI Observatory productfor Visa. The AI Observatoryproductprovides an inventory of ML modelsand AI systems, oversight formodel'sfull lifecycle, and governance of allmodel'saccuracy, transparency, fairness, and robustness. We are also uplifting domain-specific models to the unified AI Governance framework and streamline the modeling efforts to a centralized AI excellence across Visa.

As an AIEngineer in AI Governanceengineeringteam, you will have the unique chance to make a direct and meaningful impact by delivering solutions that power AI Governanceengineeringsolution. You will design, enhance, and build solutions dealing with the nextgenerationAI/ML and Generative AI technology and be an agent of transformation. We deliver and support strategic goals and have a lasting impact on ourenterprise. We aim to stay ahead of thecurveadapting to the advancement of Generative AI and keep our business miles ahead of our competitors.

Responsibilities:

• You will design, develop, andmaintainscalable and reliable AI governanceservice.
• You will apply robust architectural principles to createeffectiveand efficient solution.
• You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including data scientists, product managers, and legal experts, to ensure complianceofAI systems with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• You will be instrumental in developing an advanced Responsible AI platformutilizingthe latest Generative AI technology.
• You will address the evolving challenges in AI governance, ensuring the creation of responsible and trustworthy AI solutions.
• You will investigate and assess emerging technologies and third-party solutions, prototyping and strategizing their integration within Visa.

This is a hybrid position.Expectationofdays intheoffice will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications * 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications * 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD * MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. * 10+ years' work experience in the software technology industry. * Experience in software development, big data, and machine learning processes. * Experience in all phases of development - the design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and monitoring of applications. * Experienced with high-performance imperative languages including Python, Java, Golang, React.js, Next.js * Built predictive models using Python and ML libraries and managed their lifecycle, from development to production. * Experienced Big data and distributed computing platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes, and Airflow. * Experience working in an agile environment. * Evaluate vendor and opensource software, write proof of concepts and design new systems. * Present ideas and share with other architects and brainstorm ideas. * Build and deliver products with self-effort, without supervision and work with junior members in accomplishing our goals. * Experience in ML, AI and Generative AI model and applications development. * Strong understanding of agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, etc. * Experience with OpenAI or Anthropic or Llama models and developing applications that leverage its capabilities. * Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques. * Hands on experience with Pre-Training, Fine-Tuning, Reinforcement Learning. * Understanding of Model Bias, Fairness, Model Explainability and Model Drift. * Prior experience in Google Cloud Vertex AI, AWS SageMaker or Azure Machine Learning Studio is a plus. * Previous experience in mentoring and leading engineering teams.

The estimated salary range for this positionis $192,200.00 to $ 307,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
