Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides comprehensive care for patients using the nursing process. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in fast‑paced environments and are skilled in patient assessment and collaboration with healthcare teams. Highlights Location: Riverhead, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full‑Time, Night shift (6:30 PM - 7:30 AM) What You’ll Do Assess the patient’s physiologic health status. Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition. Assess level of pain and pain management. Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care. Assess patient’s psychosocial health status. Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes. Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities. Implement the plan of care and maintain patient safety. Evaluate care provided for patient outcomes. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: 1 year med/surg experience required. ED experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. BCLS and ACLS required; PALS within 6 months of hire.
