Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $27.95 / Hour Job Schedule: Daytime: Mon 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM, Sun 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, commuters, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public-facing areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access when required, and provide directions, information, and assistance to people entering or moving throughout the location. Observe and report operational, maintenance, and/or security-related concerns, following post orders and escalation procedures to support daily site operations. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Pepper spray certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
