Business Transformation Consultant [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Transformation Consultant based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, service design, and human-centered transformation, supporting large-scale modernization efforts for complex organizations. You will help shape how services are delivered and experienced by end users by translating research, data, and stakeholder input into actionable transformation strategies. The work spans customer experience design, business architecture, and process optimization, with a strong emphasis on clarity, usability, and impact. You will regularly engage with diverse stakeholders through workshops, interviews, and collaborative design sessions to uncover pain points and opportunities for improvement. The environment is fast-paced, client-facing, and highly collaborative, requiring both analytical thinking and creative problem-solving. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys turning complex systems into clear, improved experiences.

Accountabilities:

• Facilitate design thinking workshops and collaborative sessions with stakeholders to define problems, explore opportunities, and co-create solutions.
• Conduct user research and stakeholder engagement activities including interviews, observation, and discovery sessions to gather qualitative insights.
• Develop journey maps, personas, service blueprints, capability maps, and other visual artifacts to communicate customer and operational insights.
• Analyze current-state and future-state business processes, operating models, and organizational structures to identify improvement opportunities.
• Translate research findings into actionable recommendations, transformation roadmaps, and implementation strategies.
• Lead ideation and solutioning sessions to generate and prioritize innovative concepts that improve service delivery and operational effectiveness.
• Create clear visual deliverables and presentations to communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are feasible, aligned with strategic objectives, and mission-driven.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in business transformation, service design, human-centered design, or business architecture.
• Proven experience supporting federal government clients or similar large-scale public sector environments.
• Strong expertise in facilitating workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions, and collaborative design processes.
• Hands-on experience creating journey maps, personas, service blueprints, process models, and capability maps.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex systems and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Experience working in fast-paced, client-facing environments with ambiguous and evolving requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Business, Public Policy, Communications, or a related field.
• Preferred: familiarity with frameworks such as Agile, Lean, TOGAF, BIZBOK, or tools like Miro, Figma, Visio, or Lucidchart.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain or maintain public trust clearance.
